Hi, Welcome to my online course where I will teach you the Basics of Electricity. Please work through the videos at your own pace, you can view the videos again if needed. After completing the video please complete the Quiz for which you need to obtain 80% to pass. Once you have completed all 6 Lessons successfully, you will receive your Certificate.

Course Content

1) Basics Of Electricity
In this lesson you will learn about: - Voltage and Volts - Current and Amperes - Resistance and Ohms - How to build a Basic Light Circuit and take Measurements.

2) Ohm’s Law and Resistance of Materials
In this lesson you will learn about Ohm's Law, the formula and calculations. I will also teach you what factors effect the Resistance of materials.

3) Power
In this Lesson you will learn what Power and Energy is. I show you how to calculate the cost of your Electrical consumption, and you will see how Voltage, Current, Resistance and Power all work together.

4) Wiring Circuits in Series.
In this Lesson you learn how Series Circuits work and see the disadvantages of wiring the Main Circuit in Series. Kirchoffs Voltage Law is covered here as well.

5) Wiring Circuits in Parallel
In this Lesson you will learn how to wire circuits in Parallel and see the advantages of it. Here we will cover Kirchoffs Current Law as well.

6) Testers and Meters
In this video I cover the use and operation of Testers and Meters. We look at different types of testers, how to set them and how to connect them.
